SACRIFICE Reissues Through DISPLEASED Cancelled

June 15, 2006

Ron W Veltkamp of Displeased Records has issued the following statement:

"The previously announced reissues of the first two SACRIFICE albums by Displeased Records will be cancelled. Displeased Records had a license contract for those with Roadrunner. After some received info from SACRIFICE and the label Marquee/Brazil, Roadrunner did a thorough check concerning who has the rights to those albums. The result was that Roadrunner did not have the CD rights. They apologized for their mistake and deleted these albums from the license deal. Displeased Records will therefore not release both SACRIFICE albums."

As previously reported, SACRIFICE will reunite for the first time in 15 years for one night only as headliner of Day Of The Equinox II festival taking place on Saturday, September 23, 2006 in Toronto, Ontario at the Opera House.

The Canadian band's original lineup of guitarist/singer Rob Urbinati, guitarist Joe Rico, bassist Scott Watts and drummer Gus Pynn will be performing tracks from their classic metal releases: "Torment In Fire" (1986),"Forward To Termination" (1987) and "Soldiers of Misfortune" (1990).
